Bronx based NFP is seeking a procurement specialist to join the team on a contract to hire basis. Candidate will be responsible for: 1. Receives requests for all building supplies and client furniture, needed for both unit and building maintenance. Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to supplier, monitoring, and expediting emergency orders. Verifies receipt of items received to items orders; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.2. Track all orders and coordinate order status reports directly to sites.3. Monitor order expenses and ensures that sites stay within supply budget lines.4. Receives orders and completes receiving reports. Ensures drop shipped items to sites submits receiving reports for items delivered directly.5. Source and interview vendors; negotiate contracts and costs.6. Communicate performances and costs to management.7. Recommend new processes for systems for improvement; implement new ideas and strategies.8. Organize and schedule procurements in a timely manner.9. Communicate with vendors, clients, customers, team members, and managers to align goals.10. Provides distribution reports for bulk ordering. Works with the Finance department to reconcile invoice and forwards receiving documents to support payment authorizations. 11. Maintain stock levels of emergency supplies and oversee distributions from the main office.12. Coordinates all service contracts/vendor management (extermination, appliance repair, window repair, locksmith, etc.) to ensure that cost and servicing meet standards.13. Promotes positive image of the organization through communicating Bronx Parent Housing Network, Inc.'s mission and programs to a variety of audiences.14. Performs other duties as assigned.15. Receives all organizational Transportation requests and manages fleet/driver assignments. Ensures that all drivers and operators have the correct, up to date qualifications.16. Coordinates all building service requests (extermination, appliance repair, window repair, oil delivery, locksmith, etc.).
